they also said they saw weather in the PACIFIC being affected by it.

Coincidentally I finished the book The Ship and the Storm (about huge and powerful Hurricane Mitch which hit Central America in 1998 with terrible consequences). To think that this storm is larger and stronger than that hurricane is sickening....
